Some rockfall on the way up as things were warming and a little post holing by Gem but nothing awful. Pretty minimal crowds on the way up, a little more crowded ... The trail is mostly snow-free until you get up to the lookout of Snow Lake. If you want to take the trail around Snow Lake and up to Gem Lake, it is 100% covered by slippery snow. Micro spikes at a minimum would be recommended. Snow Lake itself is still covered in snow.
